Damit ergibt sich als Voraussetzung, dass eines der nachfolgend genannten Pakete bereits installiert auf dem Programmiergeraet bzw. PC vorliegen muss. Voraussetzung fuer die Hochruestung: STEP 5 V 7.15 (oder hoeher) oder V7.2x - Basispaket oder STEP 5 V 7.15 (oder hoeher) oder V7.2x - Kleinsteuerungen Das STEP 5 Service Pack ist ausschliesslich zur Verwendung auf Windows NT-Basierenden Betriebssystemen wie Windows NT 4, Windows 2000, Windows XP usw. vorgesehen. Eine Installation des Service Pack auf Windows 9x, Windows ME oder MS-DOS Betriebssystemen ist nicht moeglich! Installation: ------------- Die Installation kann unter Windows NT 4.0, Windows 2000 oder Windows XP erfolgen. Die genaue Beschreibung der Installation entnehmen Sie bitte dem Kapitel 'INSTALLATION' in der Produktinformation von STEP 5. Wechseln sie in das STEP 5 Service Pack Installationsverzeichnis und starten Sie INSTALL.EXE. Achtung: Die Environment-Variable TMP muss vor der Installation gesetzt sein und das angegebene Verzeichnis muss vorhanden und beschreibbar sein! Beispiel: SET TMP=C:\TMP Anleitungen zur Software des STEP 5/ST Service Packs koennen Sie vor der Installation lesen, indem Sie die Datei S5INFSPx.EXE durch Doppelklick entpacken. Nach der Installation finden Sie die Anleitungen wie gewohnt im Verzeichnis C:\S5_INFO. Die Anleitungen werden nur in den Sprachen Deutsch und Englisch geliefert! Fehlerbehebung: --------------- Mit dem SP2 wurden folgende Fehler behoben: 1.STEP 5-CP5x11 als L2-Schnittstelle: Die Kommunikation ist im Gegensatz zum SP1 jetzt auch zu einem AG95 moeglich. Eine Anleitung dazu finden Sie in S5CP511x.PDF. 2.Das in STEP 5 V7.21 gelieferte Programm S5PEPROM.EXE kann in einigen Systemumgebungen wegen unvollstaendiger Registrierung keine Verbindung mit dem USB-Prommer aufnehmen. Mit dem SP2 werden die Registrierungseintraege ergaenzt. Neue Funktion im SP2: 1.Zusatzprogramm STEP 5 PRINT Das Programm S5PRINT.EXE ermoeglicht das Drucken von STEP 5 Dokumenten auf Druckern, die unter MS Windows eingerichtet wurden. Eine Anleitung des Programms finden Sie in S5PRINTx.PDF. 2.Zusatzprogramm STEP 5 EPROM Das Programm S5PEPROM.EXE ermoeglicht das Programmieren von S5EPROM / EEPROM-Module und S5 Memory Cards ueber den SIMATIC USB-Prommer. Eine Anleitung des Programms finden Sie in S5EPROMx.PDF. Bekannte Probleme: 1.Im Lieferstand von Windows 2000 ist fuer alle DOS-Fenster die Eigenschaft "Schnelleditor" (QuickEdit) eingeschaltet. Die Maus kann in dieser Standardeinstellung bei STEP 5 nicht zur Auswahl von Menuepunkten verwendet werden. Abhilfe: Nach Klicken mit der rechten Maustaste auf die Titelleiste des DOS-Fensters waehlen Sie den Menuepunkt "Eigenschaften" (Properties). Errors Eliminated: ------------------ The following errors have been eliminated in SP2: 1.STEP 5-CP5x11 as L2 interface: Compared to SP1, communication is now possible to an AG95. Refer to S5CP511x.PDF for the corresponding instructions. 2.The program S5PEPROM.EXE supplied in STEP 5 V7.21 could not establish connection to the USB Prommer in certain system environments due to incomplete registration. The registration entries have been improved in SP2. New Functions in SP2: 1.Additional program STEP 5 PRINT The program S5PRINT.EXE enables STEP 5 documents to be printed on printers installed under MS Windows. Refer to S5PRINTx.PDF for the instructions of the program. 2.Additional Program STEP 5 EPROM The program S5PEPROM.EXE makes S5EPROM programming possible/ EEPROM modules and S5 Memory Cards via SIMATIC USB Prommer. Refer to S5EPROMx.PDF for the instructions on the program. Know Problems: 1.In the Windows 2000 state of delivery, the property "QuickEdit" is activated as the default editor for all DOS windows. With this default setting, the mouse cannot be used to select menu items in STEP 5. Remedy: Right-click on the title bar of the DOS window to select "Properties" menu.
