Materials Required:
5cm Length of 3mm Lilac ribbon.
Lilac net 7cm x 20cm.
Iron on interfacing 5cm x 5cm.
Small piece of Purple sparkly fabric, silk or
ribbon 5cm x 5cm.
Scraps of thin card: Silver, Lilac and White.
Needle and Lilac thread.
Tracing paper, pencil and carbon paper.
Craft knife, ruler and Purple felt tipped pen.
Gold Label border in Silver: XL170U-02 (similar).
Multi on Silver Gold Label star: XL175U-02 or 07.
P. V.A. Craft adhesive.
Card mount: AP12U-07 Parch Lilac.
To Make The Card:
To prevent the sparkly fabric or silk from
fraying, iron it onto a piece of interfacing before
cutting to shape. Trace over the diagram of the
bodice, shoes and mirror pieces.
Place the sparkly fabric face down, with the
carbon paper over it and the tracing on top, re-
trace over the bodice to transfer the lines. Retrace
the remaining items onto their respective colour
card in the same way and cut out all the pieces.
Cut two 2.5cm lengths of lilac ribbon and fol-
lowing the line of the bodice so the straps point
slightly outward, glue them to the back quite
close to each
side edge and
with 1cm to
1.5cm of ribbon
showing above
the bodice.
Fold the net
in half to make
it the right
length for the
skirt and work
a line of run-
ning stitch
along the fold. Pull the thread to gather the skirt
to the size of the bodice waist. Fold the sides
under just a small amount so the cut edges are
hidden and using tiny stitches along the waist,
attach the skirt to the bodice.
Glue the white insides onto the lilac shoes
and glue them onto the bottom left corner of
the card mount. Draw in the trailing laces using
a purple felt tip. Draw a small curved line to
complete the circle of the mirror top, glue the
mirror centrally onto the circle and glue it onto
the bottom right of the card.
Actual Size
Place the ruler centrally down a strip of bor-
der whilst it is still on it’s backing and cut in half
using a craft knife. Peel the half border and place
around the aperture cutting to length as required.
Add a sticker star to the top corner. Position the
dress centrally into the aperture, glue into place
and glue the card mount closed.
