About the Authors
Philo Janus has a very diverse background, and is still trying to decide what he wants
to be when he grows up. A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy and Georgetown
University Law Center, he has been developing software since 1995, and specifically
C# since the .Net Framework was in beta. Ten years as a “guerilla developer” has
given him a distinct preference for agile development frameworks, and six years
as a sales engineer working for Microsoft has built an appreciation for how much
Microsoft products can enable rapid solution development and deployment. He
has written Pro InfoPath 2007, Pro PerformancePoint Server 2007, and Pro SQL
Server Analysis Services 2008. Philo lives in Virginia with his wife Christine and
his daughters Samantha (GO NOLES!!!!) and Antoinette. You can reach Philo at

Stacia Misner is the founder of Data Inspirations (www.datainspirations.com) ,
which delivers global business intelligence (BI) consulting and education services.
She is a consultant, educator, mentor, and author specializing in business intelligence
and performance management solutions that use Microsoft technologies. Stacia
has more than 25 years of experience in information technology and has focused
exclusively on Microsoft BI technologies since 2000. She is the author of Microsoft
SQL Server 2000 Reporting Services Step by Step , Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Reporting
Services Step by Step , Microsoft SQL Server 2005 Express Edition: Start Now! , and

About the Technical Editor
Thierry D’hers is the Group Program Manager for the SQL Server Reporting
Services team. His group oversees the requirement gathering, features definition
and design, as well as evangelization of the product. Prior to this position, Thierry
occupied various roles in the SQL Server Analysis Services team and the Microsoft
Performance Point team. Thierry is an 18 plus–year veteran in the BI software
industry, having been at the source of many products at Microsoft and Hyperion
Solution before his joining Microsoft. When he is not building teams and designing
BI software, Thierry enjoys skiing, climbing mountains, and playing classical guitar.
