5216 DRESS WITH FRILLS YOU NEED: crepe-de-shine of 150 cm width; organza; fusing; 1 zipper. CUTTING: Fabric: 1. Back part – 1 folded piece 2. Cup – 2 pieces 3. Front part – 1 folded piece 4. Lower panel – 2 pieces 5. Upper frill – 2 pieces 6. Middle frill – 2 folded pieces 7. Lower frill – 2 folded pieces 8. Back facing – 1 folded piece 9. Cup facing – 1 folded piece 10. Strap – 2 pieces Organza: 1. Back part – 1 folded piece 2. Cup – 2 pieces 3. Front part – 1 folded piece Fusing: cups, back facing, cup facing. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Apply the fusing to wrong side of cups, back facing and cup facing. 2. Sew back/front/cup darts. 3. Sew cups to front part. 4. Sew right side seam. 5. Sew back/front/cup darts (organza). Sew cups to front part. Sew right side seam. Lay organza lining to dress wrong side together and tack along edges. Process the garment as single. 6. Press closure allowance to wrong side. Sew the zipper under slit edges with its teeth hidden. 7. Sew facing right side seam. Lay facing on the garment right sides together and sew upper edges. Cut allowance at 2-3 mm from stitch. Turn facing to wrong side, neaten and press. Fold short edges under and sew to zipper braids. Fix facing above side seam and middle part lines. 8. Sew side seams into panel and into frills. Gather middle/lower frills and sew to panel along marks coinciding side seams. Gather upper frill along upper edge and tack it to panel upper edge. Sew the panel to dress upper part. 9. Neaten frill/panel hem, press it to wrong side and topstitch. 10. Press the straps along the center right side in and overstitch along long side. Turn it right side out, neaten and press. Cut the strap into two pieces and sew front ends under cup corners. Try the dress, adjust straps length and sew them under back part upper edge.
