Description
The PLC reads the diagnostic data
via an input. An additional input and
two outputs are used to control the
transfer process.
If diagnostic data is available from
more than one PNOZplus system,
several PDIA 2s can be connected in
parallel and the PLC can read the
data in sequence. This reduces the
number I/Os required on the PLC.

safety relay to 24 V for the PLC
I/O module
To transfer diagnostic data, the PDIA
2 converts the PNOZplus interface
signal level to a 24 V level required
for the PLC. All connections between
the PNOZplus and the PLC are
galvanically isolated in the PDIA 2
with opto-isolators.
Function description
The PDIA 2 has been designed for
use as an interface to transfer
diagnostic data from the PNOZplus
to a PLC. Diagnostic data includes
the switching and error status of a
PNOZplus safety relay.
A shortform instruction leaflet is
supplied with the unit. A more
detailed manual is available
separately.
