WHAT THIS DISC IS

Welcome to this enhanced CD.

This disc is similar to a normal audio CD in that you can use it in a CD Player or listen to the audio tracks from your computer, as you would with a standard audio CD. However, there is also a CD ROM session on the disc, which you can access from the CD ROM drive in My Computer. This CD ROM session can contain all sorts of elements such as a video/videos, or special information...well worth checking out.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PC

Intel Processor 400MHz
32 Mb Ram
16bit colour
800 X 600 display
4X CD Rom
Windows 98/ME/2000/XP
QuickTime 5.0 (copy supplied)

HOW TO USE THIS DISC

To get the best perfomance from the disc it is a good idea to save your work and quit out of any other programs that are running before you launch the enhanced session on this disc. Then just double click on the icon on the desktop to open the window(if it not already open) and double click the programs icon in the window. This will start the entertainment. Please be patient whilst the application is launching as it has to load up before it can run, so it may take a short time. If at any time you wish to exit the application, just press either the 'Escape' button on your keyboard, or the 'Alt' button and the 'F4' button at the same time. The interface contains buttons which are mostly labelled with words to help you know waht they do, or they conform to standard controls such as the buttons you may be used to on a CD Player. However, if you don't know what a button does, why not explore and see what happens.

INSTALLING DRIVERS

The main concern here is the installation of Quicktime, which is technology developed by Apple Macintosh, to enable you to view videos on your computer or on the web...well worth having a copy as it is useful for all sorts of things.
When you start the CD ROM, if you do not have a copy of quicktime, or the correct version, then the Enhanced application will lead you directly to a page that will explain how to install quicktime. Simply follow the instructions. Alternatively you can use the copy supplied on the CD.

TROUBLE SHOOTING

COLOUR DOESN'T LOOK GOOD

If the colours are all broken up then quit the application and check to see that your monitor's resolution is set to 'Thousands of Colors' or more, and then try again. You will find this option either in your control strip, or the Monitors control panel.

CANNOT HEAR THE AUDIO CD

To hear the audio on the cd, after you quit the video application, launch your favourite CD playing application, such as CD Player, or Windows Media Player. Please allow a little time for the Cd to mount and begin playing.

QUICKTIME VIDEO SOUNDS JERKY

If you are experiencing poor sound quality from the playback of the video, quit the application and go to your control panels(Start/Settings/Control Panels) and select the Blue Quicktime control panel. Double click it to open it, and from the drop down menu at the top choose 'sound out'. Make sure that you select 'wave out: prefered Windows device' as the sound out device. If this is problematic then choose 'DirectSound: prefered Windows Device' from the same menu.
