Two years ago I watched on TV one of the best romantic Polish films - "Nigdy w życiu". The movie was based on Katarzyna Grochola's book with the same title . The hilarious loved comedy, directed by Ryszard Zatorski, told the story of 40-year-old woman, Judyta who lived with her husband and teenage daughter in Warsaw. The lead roles were played by Danuta Stenka, outstanding Polish actress, and Artur Żmijewski, probably the most handsome actor in Poland.
Judyta was a journalist and worked in a famous local newspaper. One day, Judyta's husband left her. She stayed only with 15-year-old daughter. She decided to change her life. She built a wonderful house in the country. Someday, the plot had an unexpected twist. Judyta organized a small party in her new house and she met Adam...
The movie stood out, not only as a romantic film, but also as a comedy. The screenplay was well-written and clever. The plot wasn't complicated but it was believable, gripping and makes a good impression. Of course, the movie was not flawless. While in general the cast was excellent, the music wasn't very stunning.
"Nigdy w życiu" was well worth seeing. I could thoroughly recommend this film to anyone who could appreciate the talent of actors. The movied lasts only over one hour, but there wasn't a boring moment. At the ended I still wanted to see more. See the film and found out! Didn't miss it!
