WELCOME
Thanks for purchasing Latin Jazz by Peter Michael Escovedo . I'm sure there are some people
thinking...real latin jazz in the form of loops? Impossible! That's what I thought until I came
up with a way to make rhythms, montunos, stabs, and one-liners without sounding like
they're repeating every two bars. These loops were recorded at the highest quality and
with minimal processing to give you maximum flexibility when using these loops in your
mixes. Usable... authentic... bay area latin jazz at your fingertips. Enjoy and God bless.

40 Construction Kits are included with tempos ranging from 66bpm to 128 bpm in
various keys. Each kit contains a main demo mix plus every element broken out plus
folders of "Drum Tracks". "Drum Tracks" give you access to the individual parts of the
drum mix. Now you have full mixing capabilities with the drums.
Styles represented in these kits include: salsa, rumba, songo, mambo, cha-cha, bolero, and
samba

The root directory of this disc contains a folder for each format. Within each of these
three folders are the construction kit folders. The folders’ names will look like this
example:
02 Salsonic 128 F#
02 is the number of the kit
Salsonic is the name of that particular kit.
128 is the tempo or BPM of the loops in that folder
F# is the key of the kit
Finally, we’ve included a folder named “Xtras” which contains a free demo of Ableton’s
Live 6 in both PC and Mac formats. To install, just double click on the file located within
and follow the installation instructions.

HOW TO USE
Latin Jazz by Peter Michael Escovedo has been formatted in today’s most popular file types:
Apple Loops, REX2, RMX, and WAV.With these formats, you can work with every major
sampling/looping device on the market! Every file has been carefully edited to loop
perfectly without any complications.Take advantage of the additional info and tagging using
Apple Loops with Garage Band, Soundtrack or Logic. Edit and rearrange your grooves
with the REX2 file flexibility. Create flexible tracks with RMX. And, of course, the industry
standard WAV files can be loaded into almost any digital audio or sample playback
program.
Apple Loop Users:
When importing Apple Loops into Garageband or Logic straight from a CD or DVD, the
files are automatically placed on your system drive. If this is where you want to keep your
Apple Loops, then simply drag the entire Apple Loops folder from this Big Fish Audio
product to the loop browser in Logic or as seen below in Garageband. For some people,
this method can be a problem since Apple Loops can take up a lot of space and can't
simply be moved after they are indexed. Also, many people prefer to have all their sounds
and loops on external drives. In order to place these files on an external drive, we suggest
copying the Apple Loops folder from this Big Fish Audio product to your external drive
first. When you have the product exactly where you want it then drag and drop the entire
product folder to the browser in Garageband or Logic.

At this point, a pop up will appear asking whether you want the files copied to the loops
folder or to the current location. Select Current Location and then allow the files to be
indexed.
Once the conversion is complete, you have the option to search your entire Apple Loops
library or to access only the sounds on this or any other specific product.To do this, use
the Jam Pack browser tab in Logic's loop browser or the loops tab in Garageband
(available only in Garageband 2 and higher) as shown above. It's important to note that
you may not move files or folders around once it has already been indexed or you will
lose the ability to use them from your loop browser. If you need to move files or folders
around after you've indexed them, you need to drag and drop the folder(s) again and allow
them to be re-indexed from their new location.
REX Users:
Whenever possible, we have included the exact same material in all three formats.
However, due to the nature of the REX2 format, we have omitted some content not
suitable for the REX format, but otherwise have maintained consistency with the other
two formats.
RMX Users:
In the RMX Installer folder, you will find installers for both Mac and PC. Select and run
the appropriate installer for your computer. This installer will place the RMX files in the
correct directories and create the RMX suites for use in the user libraries area of RMX.
