mentaion of the controversy itse l f arises precise ly because the
UFO penomenon has elicited s strong an emotional

ites, continental dift, mechanical naure of heat, relatiity, and
even biological evolution and natural selection. The latter,
however, is perhaps the oly controversy in which basic emo-

sonal prejudice, played so major a role.
