Hyperprism 2.5.0 Plugin Pack 4/28/00 There is no hardcopy manual for this software. An electronic HTML manual will be installed with this software; a link to the manual will be added to your start menu, and it will appear once you've completed the installation. You will need to have an HTML browser (ex. Netscape Navigator or Internet Explorer) installed to view the manual. You may also read the manual online, or download it from our website. In order to use Hyperprism 2.5.0 Plugin Pack, you must have Microsoft's DirectX Media 6.0 or higher installed on your system. If you don't, you can run "dxmsetup.exe" from the "DXMedia 6.0" directory on the Arboretum CD, or download the latest version of the DirectX Media runtime from Microsoft's DirectX download site: http://www.microsoft.com/directx/download.asp These DirectX effects will work with Acid, Cakewalk, Sound Forge, Cubase, Logic Audio, Vegas Pro, Wavelab, Cool Edit Pro, and all other DirectX-compatible audio applications. In the demo version audio is muted at 10 second intervals. BEFORE YOU INSTALL HYPERPRISM 2.5.0 If you have previously installed older or demo versions of Hyperprism, Setup will locate these versions and automatically uninstall them. It is recommended that you let Setup uninstall any older versions of Hyperprism, or uninstall them manually. If there is no uninstaller program associated with the old version, consult the install.txt file on the Arboretum CD for instructions on how to uninstall manually. NOTE FOR USERS OF CAKEWALK: The following effects require mono-to-stereo or stereo-to-stereo input/output configurations: Autopan M-S Matrix More Stereo Pan Quasi-stereo Stereo Dynamics Vocoder Some versions of Cakewalk only support mono-to-mono configurations; therefore it may not be possible to use these effects. NOTE FOR USERS OF HYPERPRISM-DX 1.0: Presets used (or saved) with Hyperprism-DX 1.0 are incompatible with version 1.5 and higher. It is possible that your host application may attempt to load these obsolete values into Hyperprism 2.5.0, which could cause certain initial settings to be outside of the appropriate range. If this happens, adjusting the values in the edit boxes will automatically constrain the parameters to the proper range. If you have saved presets with Hyperprism-DX 1.0 plugins, you may wish to abort this installation and record these settings in order to re-enter them with the new plugins.
