SHINOBI
Hokaido, in the northern reaches of the island
of Japan, is home to a clan of ninjas called the
Shadowalkers who specialise in high-tech
espionage and assassination.
spoke with the leader and bewitched his mind,
forcing him to reveal the truth.
Se�ing his own trap, the snow-Dragon gave the
ninja leader a single one of his scales, and told him
to return and tell Kandegawa that the Dragon was
had been slain.
Several years ago, in order to help them carry out
their missions the clan commissioned a Shugenja, a
wizard-priest named Kandegawa, to scribe certain
specific spells on a high-performance motorbike.
When Kandegawa heard the news he was
delighted, and in his celebrations he clutched at the
snow-Dragon scale without taking any precautions
against retaliatory
magic.
Kandegawa was
a shrewd wizard,
and not inclined
to risk his own
neck for a client.
The first thing
he demanded in
order to begin
the work was
the essence
of a Shadow
elemental.
Capturing the
elemental cost the
ninja clan heavily,
and one of the ninja to fall was the daughter of the
clan’s leader.
Instantly a
gateway opened
and the snow-
Dragon flew
through and
devoured the
greedy shugenja,
and began to
lay waste to his
demesne.
Sensing that his
freedom was at
hand the ninja leader mounted the motorbike and
tried to escape. Not wanting anyone to know how
he had tricked the shugenja, the snow-Dragon
pursued the ninja through the wizard’s cave and
into a forest.
To complete the incantations Kandegawa then
asked for body of a gigantic spider. Locating the
spider wasn’t easy, and required extensive research
into Japanese folklore and many months of
scouting hidden valleys and caves. When the ninja
finally found and captured the beast it was the
leader of the clan himself who delivered it.
The ninja was able to make it to the nearest town,
where the snow-Dragon was reluctant to follow.
However, the beast was able to cast a parting spell
on the ninja, and the assassin slowly felt his limbs
Kandegawa infused the body of the spider into the
motorcycle and placed the essence of the Shadow
elemental, stored in a soul-jar, in line with the
fuel system. Although the motorbike was actually
finished, Kandegawa pretended that he needed one
more thing to ensure the magic lasted forever.

The ninja leader was suspicious, but agreed to
track down and slay a snow-Dragon who lived
under Mount Fuji. In reality the snow-Dragon was
an enemy of Kandegawa, and the wizard-priest
was simply trying to have his foe killed by the
ninjas.
When the ninja clan tried to infiltrate the snow-
Dragon’s cave they almost succeeded, but the
snow-Dragon managed to freeze them under a
blizzard before any serious harm was done. A�er
despatching most of the ninja the snow-Dragon

begin to freeze, so he hid the bike and tried to wait
out the spell.
in over a year, and while some think that she is
seeking out a way to kill the Ghost-spider, others
assume that she has already become its victim.
A�er he died, the ninja’s body was found by a
group of school children, si�ing frozen on the
motorbike which was suspended upside down

from the roof of an abandoned factory, it’s spider-
like arms extended.
Shinobi is a motorbike that looks like a typical
Kawasaki ‘Ninja’. It is black in colour, and on
closer inspection several strange ‘claw-like’ hooks
can be seen coming out of the engine. Embedded
in the motor is a priceless black sapphire (€60,000,
US$78,000) which is required for the stealth FX to
operate.
Most of the children fled in fear, except for one
girl. Matsushiba Aiko was a quiet child who loved
watching horror movies, and she was fixated by the
scene. Eventually she found a ladder and was able
to reach the motorbike. She disturbed the ninja’s
frozen body and it fell out of the seat and sha�ered
on the hard concrete floor.
Spider walk (Su) : If the rider wants to ride up
a wall, or even on the roof, all they have to do is
point Shinobi in the right direction and the spider-
claws extend from the chassis to hold the rider in
place and keep the bike hugging the road, so to
speak. The claws provide perfect traction, even
on the slickest surface, and incur no reduction of
speed.
When Aiko tried to sit on the motorbike, spider-
like arms came up around her and held her in
place. Not yet knowing how to ride a motorbike, it
was all Aiko could do to sit on the seat, and push
the motorbike along the roof, down a wall, and out
of the factory. She hid it on her uncle’s farm until
she learn’t how to ride. A�er that the world was
her oyster!
Night sky (Su) : During the hours of the night both
rider and motorbike can hide in shadows with
a Hide skill of 25. Shinobi makes the Hide skill
check, and the rider’s own Hide skill can be used
in synergy. If the black sapphire is ever removed
Shinobi loses this ability.
Aiko explored the climbing ability of the bike,
which she christened ‘Shinobi’, as well as its ability
to hide in shadows and travel without sound for
short distances. Eventually she decided to take
her bike travelling, and boarded a ferry bound for
China.
Silent road (Su) : Once per night, and only during
the hours of the night, Shinobi can be commanded
to operate without emi�ing any noise, for up to
a full 13 minutes. If the black sapphire is ever
removed Shinobi loses this ability.
All over China she avoided officials, bandits, and
ordinary country folk, all of whom a�empted to
steal Shinobi any chance they could get. Eventually
Aiko crossed the border, leaving China behind her,
and set off for Europe.
Arcane resistance (Su) : Shinobi resists all offensive
and disruptive magic cast against it (including
Dispel magics) as a 20HD creature. If the black
sapphire is ever removed Shinobi loses this ability.
Unfortunately, Shinobi a�racted the spirit of a
Ghost-spider in Hungary that tried to kill Aiko
and drink her blood. By using Shinobi’s shadow
power Aiko was able to hide from the monster, and
ride to safety. Several weeks later in Lyon, France,
she saw reports of blood-drained corpses in a trail
that lead straight towards her. Realizing that the
Ghost-spider was being drawn by Shinobi, Aiko
said goodbye to the few friends she had made and
shunned contact with everyone she met.

Gabrielli the sample he stole was highly volatile
and slowly ate away at the test vehicle he was
driving whilst still making his escape under New
York City. Gabrielli hasn’t been seen since.
A�er Dr Varnuip’s death, his Tarago passed on to
his son, eighteen year-old Simon Varnuip of Rhode
Island, and as yet Simon (who is of below normal
IQ) still hasn’t figured out what the car can do.

in the AtomVision labs, trying to finish the last
touches to his experiment that could change the

Ground hog (Ex) : when the top of the gear stick is
flipped open there are three bu�ons when they are
pressed in the correct order (found on page 35 of
the owner’s manual) activate the mole like abilities
of the vehicle. The car has the ability to move
through the ground, it does this not by drilling
its way, but by breaking down the rock structure
and moving through it, the rock immediately re-
knits its self a�er the vehicle has passed through it.
There is no sign on the surface of this happening.
The cars speed is reduced to 80km/hr maximum
when in this mode, and cant enter the ground
without a successful drive skill check of DC25. The
car must be traveling at no more than 40km/hr to
in order to sink into the ground when moving. The
steering wheel functions exactly like an airplane’s
control stick.

object through a test subject. The test subject would
be broken down to atomic level as objects passed
through it, then it would knit itself back together
a�er the objects had le� its space.
This top secret work wasn’t going unnoticed,
and on the night that Dr. Varnup achieved his
breakthrough, an industrial spy, Vince Gabrielli,
broke into AtomVision, killed Dr Varnuip, and
stole his prototype product, which he used to make
good his getaway.
However, Dr Varnuip had already trialled the
finished product in a test. He had secretly used
his own car as a guinea pig (a 1985 Tarago). Dr
Varnuip had found a way to incorporate the atomic
divider liquid (or ADL, as he called it) into a paint
which he had applied to his vehicle. All it needed
to activate was a small electrical current.
WARNING : For some reason, when the Tarago
is in Ground-hog mode it can not move through
metallic items i.e.
iron, steel, gold,
tin, silver, etc… of
more than 2 cm
thickness (2 HP).

the chassis of the vehicle.
Sensors (Ex) :

side sun visor.
The sample that Vince Gabrielli stole was a test
liquid that Dr Varuip had been working on to try
and eradicate the problem of not being able to

SANTO
In 1957 a dedicated, but naïve Italian priest named
Antonio Silvani departed the Vatican city, entrusted
to convey a special package and papal missive to
the arch-bishop of Guatemala. A�er he arrived in
the United States of America he hired a car, posed
as a tourist, and took a leisurely drive down the
Baja peninsula.

When Antonio reported the incident to his
superiors the news eventually reached the highest
echelons of the church, and Antonio quickly found
himself the custodian of a rare and useful relic.
Although Antonio only ever drives Santo around
his new hometown of Puerto Angel, he is obliged
to lend it to whomever the church deems worthy
of borrowing the vehicular relic. Antonio remains
responsible for ensuring that Santo is in good
working order and that any necessary repairs are
carried out.
One day he stopped in Puerto Angel, and because
it was a Sunday, parked his car outside a church
while he gave confession. When he came out
of the church the car had been stolen. Antonio
immediately fell to his knees and prayed to God to
get the Cadillac back. The thief drove the car north,

Radio (Su) : Santo can communicate using its radio
– but all conversation is in antiquated Latin!
with the intent of re-selling it near the border
with California, but the engine overheated and he
never made it out of the puerto. When he did a
quick search of the car he found a decanter full of a
clear liquid. A�er ensuring that he wasn’t wasting
anything other than water, the thief poured the
contents into the radiator and started the engine
again.
Protection from Evil 10’ (Su) : For those inside,
including boot and engine, when the windows are
up and all the doors locked.
Holy-water spray (Su) : With the flick of a switch
the winscreen washers can be turned outward,
spraying everything within 5 feet of Santo with
holy-water. Damage is 2d6 points, Reflex save for
half, and there is enough for 10 rounds of spraying.
Unknowingly, the liquid he poured into the engine
was the tears of Saint Catulus, a holy relic that had
been on its way to Guatemala. Not only did the
tears cool the engine, they also infused the car with
the essence of the saint, and when the thief jumped
into the car the radio began to preach at him – in
ancient Latin.
Divine horn (Su) : Three times per day Santo’s horn
can resound like the trumpet of an angel – forcing
all undead and evil extraplanar creatures within
earshot (up to 100’) to make a Willpower save (DC
25) or flee in terror for 3d6 rounds.
Knowing enough Latin from church the thief
panicked at the words of damnation, and when the
radio continued to blast away even when he had
turned it off, he quickly drove the Cadillac back to
the church, where Antonio was waiting, still on his
