DRILL 1 A
COERVER CODE. Skill.
PLANNER SEGMENT. Warm up.
PYRAMID BLOCK. Moves 1v1.
PURPOSE. To improve & perfect Feints & Changes of Direction.
AGE GROUP. U12 U16
SET UP .
Players in pairs form a circle around a 4 yard square in the middle marked with cones.
ACTION.
VERSION 1 . COD Moves. Players make as many Change of Direction moves to the middle cones then
pass back to their partners and take their partners place as they can in 30 seconds.
VERSION 2. Feints: The player goes to his right and makes a feint then goes to the next cone where he
makes a COD move then passes to his team mate who repeats. See how many in 30 secs.
VERSION 3 . Stops & Starts. The player makes a S&S at the 1st cone and a COD at the 2nd and passes
to his partner. See how many in 30 secs.
COD MOVES . U Turn. Outside Cut. Hook Turn.
FEINTS. Single side step.(R or L) Scissors. Drag Push.
S&S. High Wave.
TIPS.
Keep eyes up as you take off and as you come out of the move.

DRILL 1 B
COERVER CODE. Skill.
PLANNER SEGMENT. Warm up.
PYRAMID BLOCK. Moves 1v1.
PURPOSE. To improve & perfect Feints & Changes of Direction.
AGE GROUP. U12 U16
SET UP.
Players in pairs facing each other 8 yds apart. Y1 on the outside with the ball, Y2 by the inside cones.
ACTION.
Y1 takes a pass from Y2 and Y2 becomes a limited pressure defender for Y1.
Y1 beats Y2 then turns in the middle and passes to Y2 who is now on the outside of the circle.
Y1 presents as a passive defender for Y2 to make a Feint move to beat him.
TIPS.
Keep eyes up and try for a short burst of speed out of the move.

DRILL 2
COERVER CODE. Speed.
PYRAMID BLOCK. MOVES 1v1. Speed.
PURPOSE. To improve decision making. Use of speed to create goal chances.
AGES. U8 U12 U16
SET UP.
Two teams with a ball to each player positioned approx 16 yards from the goial line.
Two small goals 12 yards apart on the goal line.A
A Shooting line 6 yards from goal line.
ACTION.
After the first Player dribbles and shoots for an easy 1 st goal a Player from the opposing team drib-
bles to shoot inside the shooting line on either goa and the previous attacker defendsl.
As soon as the player has shot, scored, missed or otherwise lost possession he immediately de-
fends against the next attacker from the opposite team.
The sequences continue with the first team to a set score the winners.
Change positions of each team so Players are coming at Goal from a different side of the field.
Adjust the distance from the goal to make easier or harder for the Attackers or Defenders.
TIPS.
* Adjust the distances the teams are from the Goals to make the task easier or harder and to ensure
Players must take on defenders and use their techniques to succeed.
* Instruct recovering players to turn ‘inside’ to defend and not outside where they have to cover
more ground.
* If players can get inside the shooting line on speed alone encourage them to do so.

DRILL 3 A
COERVER® CODE©. Strength.(Stamina)
PLANNER SEGMENT: Coerver Moves. Stamina.
PYRAMID BLOCK . MOVES 1v1.
PURPOSE. To improve Stamina. Change of Direction Moves.
AGE. U12 U16
SET UP.
A Passive Defender stationed between two cones approx 8 yds apart.
Attackers A1 & A2 with a ball each 8 yrds from a cone facing D.
ACTION.
A1 and A2 takes turns alternately to attack their nearest cone.
D threatens to tackle and A1 & A1makes a COD move and returns to his starting position. As A1 returns
A2 attacks the opposite cone and repeats the sequence to the opposite cone..
The sequence continues for 45 secs.
TIPS
Encourage good technique at the turns.
U12 players change roles every 30secs.
U 16 every 60 seconds..
