Subjects and Predicates in Sentences
Every sentence has two parts.
The
subject
tells who or what does something.
The
predicate
tells what the subject does or is.
Tony
walks to the park.

(predicate)
Practice Write each sentence. Draw one line under
the subject. Circle the predicate.

go to the pond.

catch fish.

watches the frogs.
Combining Sentences
to join two sentences that have
the same subjects or the same predicates.
