rawrite version 2.0 - 04/30/92 - Write disk image files to floppy
diskettes. Version 1 by Mark Becker; hacked by Guy Helmer to improve
performance.

I'm releasing my improvements on rawrite.c to the public for general
testing. rawrite 1.2 was horribly slow on the computers I tried it
on. The main loop was writing only three sectors to the disk during
each iteration. Comments revealed that the original author found
full-track writes didn't work on some machines; my bet for the reason
for this problem is that the source buffer happened to cross a 64Kb
physical memory boundary, which the PC's DMA can't handle.

I've included code to check for the DMA boundary problem and changed
the program to write a track full of sectors in each iteration of the
main loop. The result of this modification is that version 2 should
only take 1/5 or 1/6 of the time that version 1 took to write a 1.2Mb
or 1.44Mb diskette. The performance increase is nice :-)

I've also added the features to accept the disk image file, target
diskette drive, and a "don't wait" option from the command line. If
the "don't wait" option is specified, the program doesn't pause for
the user to insert the diskette and press <Enter>; it assumes the
diskette is ready and waiting in the target drive. Version 2 only
accepts drives A and B as target drives.

Please check this program - I'm not 100% postive that it will work for
all PC's. If it doesn't work, try Mark's rawrite version 1.2 to see if
it will work for you, and maybe drop me an email describing the
problem you encountered and the type of system you were using.
